BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Buffalo Sabres announced on Wednesday that their game against the Chicago Blackhawks, originally scheduled for tonight, has been rescheduled due to inclement weather.
The game has now been moved to Thursday, Jan. 18 at 7 p.m., just one day after the original scheduled time.
With more lake-effect snow making its way through the Buffalo area, travel bans have been placed throughout different regions of Western New York.
This isn't the first sporting event to be impacted by weather recently. The Bills saw their AFC wild card game moved from 1 p.m. Sunday to 4:30 p.m. Monday following a lake effect snow storm that caused issues across the region.
2 On Your Side will continue to monitor any further updates given by the City of Buffalo, and the Sabres.
