BUFFALO, N.Y. — Several NHL teams and players took to social media to honor the late, great Rick Jeanneret.

Jeanneret, the Buffalo Sabres' beloved play-by-play announcer for 51 seasons, died on Thursday night. He was 81.

Some of Jeanneret's most memorable calls involved goals former Buffalo Sabres' captain Pat LaFontaine scored. Lafontaine fondly remembers Jeanneret in a post on his foundations social media page.
