BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Buffalo Sabres have announced that the KeyBank Center will be undergoing renovations for the 2024-25 hockey season.
Renovations include a new state of the art videoboard, and a new roof.
In the center of the arena, the videoboard will be 27-foot-by-43-foot and will utilize the latest technology from Mitsubishi Electric. Upgrading from the current one will double both the resolution and functionality.
“From an ownership perspective, I have put a great deal of thought and research into the fan experience over the last year and feel it is time to begin making gradual upgrades to our arena that will play a key role in enhancing game day for our fans,” Sabres owner Terry Pegula said. “We are thrilled about the many projects we have in the pipeline, none bigger than a new videoboard that will be ready for the 2024-25 season.
“Along with business leadership, I will continue to evaluate areas to invest in the arena with the fan experience in mind.”
A company local to Western New York will be overseeing the installation of the new roof on Keybank Center, Pike Construction Services.
