BUFFALO, N.Y. — Sabres forward Jack Quinn is reportedly going to miss a significant amount of time once again this season.
After an initial report by the Buffalo News, 2 On Your Side confirmed with a team source from the Sabres that Quinn will miss about eight weeks after having surgery on Monday to address a lower-body injury.
The young Sabres forward went down awkwardly in the third period during the team's 5-2 win over the Sharks on Sunday.
Quinn appeared in 17 games for the Sabres this season, as he was just coming off a ruptured Achilles injury. He scored five goals and produced 12 points in his time with the Sabres this season.
The Sabres are off until Feb. 6 when they host the Dallas Stars at 7 p.m. at home.
