Sabres coach unable to attend tonight's game

The Buffalo Sabres announced to social media that their head coach would be unable to attend game due to an illness on Saturday, December 30th.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Tonight the Buffalo Sabres will face off against the Columbus Blue Jackets at the Key Bank Center at 5:00 p.m. 

But their head coach Don Granto will not be in attendance at the game.

In a social media post made early on Saturday the team wrote

"Due to an illness, head coach Don Granato will be unable to coach in today's game against Columbus. Rochester Americans head coach, Seth Appert will assume Granto's responsibilities behind the bench." 

Granto has been the team's head coach since 2021.
