Carucci, a member of the 2 On Your Side Sports team will be inducted into the Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — A member of the 2 On Your Side Sports team will receive a special honor Tuesday evening.

NFL Analyst Vic Carucci will be inducted into the Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2024.  Carucci has covered the Buffalo Bills and NFL for nearly 50-years.

Carucci spoke to 2 On Your Side's Claudine Ewing about the honor.

"I've been trying to get it straight in my head and wrap my mind around it since I was informed," he said.  "We've had an incredible journey, my family and I, and it only means something because my wife, my kids, my friends, and anyone who's been part of this long story that began in 1982 in Buffalo has been so supportive. "That's why it means something, because you've got all that support, and I appreciate it."

In addition to being the NFL Analyst on WGRZ Sports, Carucci was national editor for NFL.com, contributor to the NFL Network, senior editor for the Cleveland Browns and a reporter for the Buffalo News.

Carucci has won many awards over the years from the Associated Press and the Pro Football Writers of America.  He is also on the selection committee for the Pro Football Hall of Fame, as well as voting panel for the Associated Press All-Pro team and postseason awards.

Carucci, already a member of the Greater Utica Sports Hall of Fame has authored nearly a dozen books about football.

The Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame began in 1991, and with this class, the total number of inductees will climb to 400 people.
