Even though she's one half of the partnership that now owns both the Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres, most WNY sports fans don't know a lot about Kim Pegula.
A Western New York native herself, Kim Pegula grew up in Fairport, which is right outside Rochester. In fact, some of Kim's earliest professional sports memories are attending Rochester Americans games with her family.
In the mid-80's, Kim and her family moved to Houghton, where Kim studied communications at Houghton College and spent time as a cheerleader.
After graduating from college, Kim interviewed for a job at East Resources, which at the time was owned by Terry Pegula. The pair met during Kim's job interview, and were married two years later.
Since then, Kim has had a hand in ownership of the Buffalo Sabres and the Rochester Americans, helping to transform the world of Western New York sports and real estate. Some of the projects she's been involved with include giving the First Niagara Center a multi-million dollar facelift, complete with a state-of-the-art locker room, and the soon-to-be completed HARBORCENTER.
