BUFFALO, N.Y. — Today in a press conference following the Bills practice Von Miller spoke out for the first time since allegations involving the linebacker, and his pregnant girlfriend were shared in November.
Miller had been accused of assaulting his pregnant girlfriend, as first reported by our sister station in Dallas, WFAA.
"First and foremost- men and women that deal with domestic violence is not something to downplay," Miller said. "Those things really happen."
The linebacker continued to say that the allegations are 100% false, and he plans to just keep pushing on as he knows his character and the type of person that he is.
"You just got to smile and have fun through it all." Miller continued. "Especially when you know stuff is untrue."
At the time of the alleged assault, a warrant had been issued for a charge of assaulting a pregnant person. Miller turned himself into Dallas police and immediately posted a $5,000 bond.
Authorities say that the incident had taken place in the morning around 10:40 a.m. when Miller, 34, and his girlfriend of seven years got into a fight over travel plans.
