ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — After a long week, the Buffalo Bills desperately needed a quick start Sunday against the New York Jets.
They got one. Reggie Gilliam's massive hit caused a fumble on the kickoff return, Quintin Morris was there to recover it at the New York Jets' 21-yard line. The special teams play provided a jolt throughout Highmark Stadium, only 7 seconds into the crucial Week 11 game Sunday.
The Bills couldn't do much with the opportunity, however, as the Bills lost 9 yards over the next three plays — which included a sack and an incompletion — before settling for a 48-yard field goal by Tyler Bass only 89 seconds into the game.
