Bills name initial 53-man roster

The Bills released their initial 53-man roster on Tuesday evening and placed three players on injured reserve. The team also announced a trade with the NY Jets.

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — The Bills announced a flurry of roster moves as they officially released their initial 53-man roster on Tuesday evening. 

The following players have been released by the team: 

  •  DT Eli Ankou
  • OL Keaton Bills
  • OL Gunner Britton
  • WR Deon Cain
  • OL Will Clapp
  • DE Kameron Cline 
  • OL La'el Collins
  • CB Te'Cory Couch
  • TE Zach Davidson
  • DT Branson Deen
  • QB Ben DiNucci
  • OL Mike Edwards
  • RB Frank Gore Jr.
  • OL Richard Gouraige
  • WR K.J. Hamler
  • S Kareem Jackson
  • WR Xavier Johnson
  • DE Kingsley Jonathan
  • CB Keni-H Lovely
  • TE Tre' McKitty
  • WR Tyrell Shavers
  • WR Justin Shorter
  • DT Gable Steveson
  • DT DeShawn Williams
  • S Kendall Williamson

The Bills also placed the following three players on injured reserve:

  • OL Travis Clayton
  • RB Darrynton Evans
  • LB Matt Milano

In addition, the team announced a trade with the New York Jets. The Bills acquired cornerback/returner Brandon Codrington and a 2026 7th-round pick from the Jets for a 2026 6th-round pick.
