BUFFALO, N.Y. — More than a week after season ticket holders began getting called to the Bills Experience for the personal seat license discussion, the organization still hasn't confirmed the figures being floated on social media.
Since 2 On Your Side spoke to one season ticket holder who was told it would cost $400,000 to keep his 8 season tickets in the new stadium, others have come forward to share similar pricing.
Some people have mentioned pricing for club seats ranging between $20,000 and $50,000.
Others have told WGRZ that they could finance the PSL's through M&T Bank at an interest rate as high as 11%.
According to the conversations happening amongst season ticket holders, the Bills and Legends Hospitality are still only contacting those with club level season tickets.
The Bills and Legends Hospitality have not responded to questions asked by WGRZ.
"This is a major investment for a whole lot of people," Bills Insider Vic Carucci said. "This is not to be trivialized."
Carucci spoke with WGRZ sports reporter and anchor Jonathan Acosta about the PSL issue over the weekend. Like others that monitor the business side of sports and the Bills, Carucci was surprised that the team didn't announce pricing before contacting season ticket holders.
"What is the price and why is there such a cloud around it?" Carucci said. "It raises the thought that you're trying to maybe pull something over on people, giving them little time or have no time to really prepare for what they're going to have to pay for."
Other industry insiders, like Marc Gannis from Sportscorp Ltd. says he's been told the early PSL meetings with Bills season ticket holders has been successful.
"Earlier this week, I had heard that the bills for their most expensive category were about 60% committed and that's only in a matter of a week or two," Gannis said. "So there is a market for it even in Buffalo for a small number of the highest price."
Gannis did say that, depending on the pricing, there could be challenges other sections when the Bills open up sales for the rest of the new stadium.
"The real issue is going to be the 40,000 seats, what and whether the Buffalo market can sustain the pricing that the bills will announce at that point," Gannis said. "Now, that remains to be seen."
