ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — Josh Allen had an MVP moment. How did that impact his standing in the MVP race?
Quite a bit, actually, for the oddsmakers in Vegas. For much of the season, Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson had been considered a clear favorite to claim his third Most Valuable Player award.
That all changed last Sunday, when the Bills beat the previously unbeaten Kansas City Chiefs 30-21 at Highmark Stadium. Allen now leads a parade of quarterbacks — starting with Jackson, Lamar Jackson, Jared Goff, Patrick Mahomes, and Jalen Hurts — for the NFL's top individual honor, according to BetMGM.
Allen has completed 217 of 339 passes (64 percent) for 2,543 yards, 18 touchdowns, and five interceptions this season. He has also carried the ball 67 times for 316 yards and five touchdowns for the Bills (9-2).
Jackson has completed 215 of 321 passes (67 percent) for 2,876 yards, 25 touchdowns, and three interceptions this season. He has run the ball 95 times for 584 yards and two touchdowns for the Ravens (7-4).
