Former Buffalo Bill offensive lineman Joe DeLamielleure revealed Wednesday he has been diagnosed with Chronic traumatic encephalopathy, more commonly known as CTE.

BUFFALO, N.Y.- Former Buffalo Bills offensive lineman Joe DeLamielleure revealed earlier this week he has been diagnosed with Chronic traumatic encephalopathy, more commonly known as CTE.

DeLamielleure, along with fellow Hall of Famer Tony Dorsett and Leonard Marshall, found out about through tests conducted at UCLA.

The news was first reported by ESPN on Wednesday. Delamielleure spoke with Two On Your Side's Adam Benigni later in the evening.

DeLamielleure said he agreed to take part of the tests because he wanted to be proactive on the issue, something he has championed for a long time.

"I was one of the first guys to donate my brain to Boston University and I got a lot of those guys [former players] to donate their brains. A lot of them," saidDeLamielleure.
