ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — Another NFL season is entering the home stretch with Week 13 of the 2024 season getting underway on Thanksgiving. Though the regular season may be approaching its end, Bills fans have something playoff-wise to potentially look forward to this week.

Buffalo has the chance to earn one of the first playoff-clinching scenarios of the season during their game Sunday night against the San Francisco 49ers.

If the Bills win on 'Sunday Night Football,' and the Miami Dolphins lose to the Green Bay Packers on Thanksgiving, Buffalo will clinch the AFC East for the fifth consecutive year in a row.

This is the only clinching scenario for the Bills during Week 13. The only other team that can clinch a spot in the playoffs this week is their AFC rival Kansas City Chiefs, who also need a Miami loss on Thursday, along with a win on Black Friday vs. the Las Vegas Raiders. Another scenario that would clinch a playoff ticket for the Chiefs would be a win plus a Denver Broncos loss to the Cleveland Browns on Monday night.

Kickoff between the Bills and 49ers is scheduled for 8:20 p.m. right here on WGRZ. Join us before the game as we will have a special edition of 'Sports Talk Live' beginning at 6:30 p.m.

And don't forget, following the end of 'Sunday Night Football,' we will have postgame coverage on 'Channel 2 News Tonight,' right here on Channel 2.
