Bills clinch playoff berth, beat Steelers in prime-time slugfest

With this win in Pittsburgh, the Buffalo Bills clinched a spot in the NFL playoffs. At worst, Buffalo will be No. 5 seed in the AFC.

4th Quarter 

Bills 17, Steelers 10 

Jordan Poyer intercepts the Hodges pass in the end zone, and the next drive ended with another interception, securing the Bills victory. 

Josh Allen connects with Tyler Kroft for a 14 yard touchdown and the Bills take a 17-10 lead. The drive took six plays, covered 70 yards and took 2:08 off the clock.  There is 7:55 remaining in the fourth quarter. 

Stephen Hauschka connects from  36  yards out and the Bills tie the game with 12:23 left in the fourth quarter.  The scoring drive takes seven plays, zero yards and takes 4:01 off the clock.  

3rd Quarter

The Steelers score on the opening drive of the second half. Devlin Hodges to James Conner for the 11 yard touchdown. The Pittsburgh scoring drive takes seven plays, covers 69 yarsd and takes 3:42 off the clock. Its the first time tonight the Bills have trailed.

Chris Boswell connects on a 49 yard field goal. It was a 6 play 41 yard drive that took 2:56 off the game clock. 11:26 left in the second quarter. 

Josh Allen scores from one yard out to give the Bills the lead with 14:22 left in the second quarter. The drive lasted 9 plays, covered 40 yards and took 4:23 off the game clock. 

1st Quarter

No scoring in the first quarter. The quarter ends with the Bills threatening. They have a first down on the Pittsburgh 15 yard. The Bills announced that Tre'Davious White has a shoulder injury and that his return is questionable. 

The Bills get the first turnover of the game as Tre'Davious White picks off the Devlin "Duck" Hodges pass. 8:50 left in the first quarter.

On NBC's Sunday Night Football, the Bills travel to Pittsburgh to take on the Steelers.

The Bills have a one-game lead over Pittsburgh. Buffalo has a record of 9-4 while Pittsburgh comes in with a record of 8-5. 

Buffalo is 5-1 on the road this season. The Bills have not lost back-to-back games this season. 

Pittsburgh has won eight of its last nine games. The Steelers' franchise Biquarterback, Ben Roethlisberger, was injured in September and has not and will not return this season.

Undrafted free agent quarterback Devlin "Duck" Hodges has taken over the starting quarterback position from Mason Rudolph, who started the season as Big Ben's backup. 

The Steelers come into the game riding a three-game winning streak. Tonight's game is the last home game this season for Pittsburgh. 

Both head coaches, the Bills' Sean McDermott and Pittsburgh's Mike Tomlin, are graduates of William and Mary. McDermott was a freshman when Tomlin was senior.
