Frank Gore is all smiles after his son leads Bills with 100-yard game, TD

Gore, who played 16 games for the Bills back in 2019, wore his son's No. 20 jersey to the game Saturday afternoon in Orchard Park.

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. β€” Frank Gore spent time with five different teams over his 16-year career, including one with the Buffalo Bills back in 2019.

So when his son, Frank Gore Jr., signed with Buffalo as an undrafted free agent, there was already a familiarity with where his son would be going.

With coach Sean McDermott attempted to keep a banged-up Bills roster as healthy as it can be ahead of a fast-approaching regular season, Gore Jr. had one last opportunity to make an impression before all NFL teams trim their rosters to 53 players by 4 p.m. Tuesday.

He made the most of that chance, running 18 times for 101 yards and a touchdown. His father was at the game and took to social media to brag about the performance.

And yes, Gore wore his son's No. 20 jersey to the game Saturday afternoon in Orchard Park.

Gore played 16 games for the Bills in 2019. He started eight of those games and finished the season with 599 yards and two touchdowns on 166 carries.
