BUFFALO, N.Y. — Excitement continues to build for this Bills team as fans look ahead to the postseason.
The City of Buffalo is hosting a rally for fans to celebrate this year's AFC East Champions at 5 p.m. Monday. Banners were just put up outside City Hall Monday morning. This is sure to become the perfect backdrop for photos over the next few weeks, just as it has been over the most recent Bills seasons.
The Bills have just three games left in the regular season. They'll face the No. 4 Patriots twice and the No. 3 Jets once.
2 On Your Side talked with fans on Monday about their favorite plays from Sunday's game.
"The whole game was my favorite play. I mean, we got the W. We didn't know whether or not, well, there was some doubt going into play Detroit, a really strong team coming off a loss, but they did really well, and we got the W," said Bills fan Rafeal Suarez.
"My favorite play was probably when Dawson Knox had the nice one hand grab. It's probably tied with also the Mack Hollins onside recovery and went for a touchdown," said Bills fan Sid Goldberg.
Suarez thinks the Bills will win the rest of their games this season and make it to the Super Bowl.
Since we won't know for sure if that's the case for several more weeks, 2 On Your Side caught up with the President and CEO of VIP TIX Monday afternoon to ask him about the strategies he suggests people use if they want to travel with the Bills in the post-season and potentially to the Super Bowl in New Orleans.
"We're at the Super Bowl whether the Bills are there or not, but always this time of year, people reach out and say how can I get tickets to the Super Bowl? And it's tough, the NFL pretty much has all the rooms locked up before they even announce what city the Super Bowl is going to be held at," said Nick Giammusso, President and CEO of VIP TIX. "The tickets are really, really difficult to get. I really can't get them now. There's some sites that will sell zone seating. We don't do that unless we actually have tickets in-hand."
2 On Your Side checked the NFL's website Monday afternoon, and for the packages with seats along the 50-yard line, they don't even list the prices. You have to call for more info and the package does not include travel or a hotel.
"The NFL has some packages that are available now, but they're super, super expensive, so I would really suggest being patient and waiting. Do it the proper way. Don't buy tickets unless you actually have the section, row, and seat numbers, or you're just going to have a terrible experience buying tickets for the Super Bowl," said Giammusso.
There are Super Bowl tickets listed on the NFL's site that includes a pre-game party. Those start at almost $8,700 per person.
