ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — CNBC on Thursday announced its rankings of NFL teams on overall franchise value, and as you might imagine, the Dallas Cowboys topped the list.
Dallas' value is $11 billion, which is $3 billion more than the Los Angeles Rams at No. 2. The New England Patriots ($7. 9 billion), New York Giants ($7.85 billion), and Las Vegas Raiders ($7.8 billion) round out the top five.
The Buffalo Bills, on the other hand, placed toward the bottom of that list. They rank 30th at $5.35 billion, just ahead of the Arizona Cardinals ($5.3 billion) and Cincinnati Bengals ($5.25 billion).
The average NFL team is worth $6.49 billion, according to CNBC. Media deals, sponsorship revenue, and events held at team stadiums — think Taylor Swift tour dates — make an impact on the valuations.
