ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — Following his performance against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, Buffalo Bills defensive captain and linebacker Terrel Bernard has been named the AFC Defensive Player of the Week.
Bernard led the Bills with a team-high eight tackles, one sack, and a game-sealing interception to wrap up the night at Highmark Stadium.
This honor marks the second time in Bernard's career that he has earned a weekly award. He is also now the sixth different Bills player to do so through 11 weeks of action.
- Week 1: Greg Rousseau (Defensive)
- Week 2: James Cook (Offensive)
- Week 3: Josh Allen (Offensive)
- Week 9: Tyler Bass (Special Teams)
- Week 10: Taron Johnson (Defensive)
- Week 11: Terrel Bernard (Defensive)
The Bills are on their bye week and will return in Week 13, ready to host the San Francisco 49ers on Dec. 1. That game will be shown on NBC and Channel 2.
