ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — For all the change that’s come to the Buffalo Bills pass catching group, maybe the biggest X-factor of all is a holdover?
Expectations for Dalton Kincaid in year two are absolutely are high.
That’s in part because of the talent. That’s also in part because he just might need to be much better.
His rookie season, interestingly enough, was pretty even.
Nine games with Ken Dorsey as offensive coordinator produced 45 catches on 51 targets for 390 yards and two touchdowns.
Nine games, two of those in the playoffs, with Joe Brady as the offensive coordinator produced 36 catches on 51 targets for 387 yards and TD.
Nearly identical.
How Brady uses Kincaid will be key. Where does Kincaid line up? How much will the Bills try the two tight end sets with Dawson Knox once again? Is Kincaid being utilized down the field more?
Since he was drafted 25th overall last year, we’ve been hammered with how much a mismatch Kincaid can be.
So let’s see it.
That begins on the fields of St. John Fisher during training camp.
