Bills sign offensive lineman Will Clapp to 1-year deal

The 7-year NFL veteran spent the last two seasons with the Los Angeles Chargers.

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — The Buffalo Bills made a move to reinforce their offensive line Friday, signing veteran offensive lineman Will Clapp to a one-year deal.

Clapp has been in the NFL for seven seasons since entering the league out of Louisiana State University. He played his first five years with the New Orleans Saints before spending the last two years with the Los Angeles Chargers.

A knee injury in Week 15 cut Clapp's 2023 season short, but he played in 14 games with 11 starts before sustaining the season-ending injury. In total, Clapp made 14 starts in 31 games across his two seasons with the Chargers.

Clapp, who has experience at both guard and center, adds depth to a Bills interior offensive line that moves forward without center Mitch Morse (released, signed with Jaguars) and versatile backup Ryan Bates (traded to Bears).
