ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — The NFL announced Thursday afternoon that they're adding Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott to the league's Competition Committee.
The Committee is responsible for reviewing all competitive aspects of the game, such as playing rules, roster regulations, technology, game-day operations, and player protection, among numerous other aspects, according to their website.
The committee’s process uses the input of league experts, clubs, players, league committees, the NFL Players Association, and other sources.
"First and foremost, it's a great honor to be thought of in this light," McDermott said in a statement regarding the announcement. "It comes with great responsibility to continue to grow this game that so many others have done for so many years."
Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay was also named to the committee, along with McDermott.
