ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — Two Buffalo Bills defenders are being recognized for the work they're doing away from the football field.

Linebacker Tyrel Dodson has been named the NFL Player's Association Community MVP of the Week.

Earlier this month Dodson helped make holiday shopping a lot easier for four single mothers in Western New York, giving them gift cards and taking them shopping for Christmas gifts for their families.

The Player's Association will donate $10,000 to a foundation or charity of Dodson's choice.

The Bills have also nominated Damar Hamlin for this year's Ed Block Courage Award, which is given to one player from each team in the NFL who shows commitment to sportsmanship, courage, and love for their community.

Bills players who have won this award in the past include Tre'Davious White and Jordan Poyer.
