ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — Josh Allen's memorable touchdown run last Sunday was replayed over and over again by Buffalo Bills fans. Plays like that also provided one national network an opportunity to break down his performance in a much different way.
ESPN is using new technology — called StatusPro Visualizer — to help fans see a new view of NFL games. It uses virtual reality, and it brings real-life NFL plays to a VR point of view.
Earlier this week, ESPN used it to show what Allen would see while on the field. The network is using the new technology to analyze how defensive players are lined up and how offenses can adjust to it.
It's not just for a quarterback, either. ESPN can use it to get a view from wide receivers too.
