ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — Josh Allen will reach a milestone with Monday night's game against the New York Jets.
The Bills quarterback has played in 99 games during his seven-year career in the NFL. He started in 98 of those.
The one that wasn't a start happened to be the very first one, on Sept. 9, 2018, when Allen came off the bench to finish the Bills' season-opening loss, 47-3, at the Baltimore Ravens.
Nathan Peterman started that game, completing 5 of 18 passes for 24 yards, two interceptions, and a 0.0 quarterback rating. Baltimore also sacked him three times before being pulled for Allen, who finished 6-of-15 passing for 74 yards.
Allen played in 12 games that season, throwing for more than 2,000 yards with 10 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. Allen also made his mark as a runner with two 100-yard games and finishing with 631 yards and eight touchdowns.
Since then, Allen evolved into one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL.
