ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — Buffalo Bills safety Jordan Poyer was fined by the NFL following the team's Week 17 home victory against New England.
Poyer was fined $10,927 for an unnecessary roughness penalty, which occurred during the fourth quarter of Buffalo's 27-21 win against the Patriots on Dec. 31. It happened on a second-and-10 from the Buffalo 30-yard line with 11 minutes, 35 seconds left.
The Patriots scored on the next play, on a 6-yard touchdown carry by running back Ezekiel Elliott, as New England cut the Buffalo lead to six points.
New England's Jalen Mills was also fined $16,136 for a hit against Bills tight end Dawson Knox.
The NFL announces player fines each Saturday afternoon during the regular season. This week there were 14 plays resulting in fines for on-field discipline.
