BUFFALO, N.Y. — Bills running back James Cook has been named AFC Offensive Player of the Week.
The NFL announced the news on Wednesday as Cook had just come off his best performance in his career against the Cowboys this past Sunday.
In that game, Cook rushed for 179 yards while adding 42 yards on two receptions, as well as two touchdowns.
He saw 27 total touches as the Bills ran the ball on over 75 percent of their 65 total plays, according to their website.
On top of this being Cook's first player of the week, it was the fifth time a Bills running back has won the honor. The last time was when Travis Henry rushed for 159 yards and earned two touchdowns during a win over the Houston Texans in Week 6 of 2002.
