Information you need for Sunday's Bills' game

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — The Buffalo Bills will play their first game of the 2024 regular season on Sunday, September 8 against the Arizona Cardinals. 

Kickoff scheduled for 1 p.m. at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park. 

If you're headed to the game, the Erie County Sheriff's Office is alerting fans of the traffic pattern around the the stadium before and after the game. 

ABBOTT ROAD

  • Abbott Road in front of the stadium closes to north and southbound traffic at 8 a.m.
  • This section of Abbott Road will remain closed until after the game

ROUTE 20A (BIG TREE ROAD)

  • Prior to the conclusion of the game (approximately 3:30 p.m.), Route 20A from Fieldhouse Drive to Rte. 219 will convert to two-lane, one-way traffic headed eastbound away from the stadium
  • Prior to the conclusion of the game (approximately 3:30 p.m.), Route 20A from Abbott Road to Southwestern Boulevard will convert to two-lane, one-way traffic headed westbound away from the stadium

STADIUM LOTS

  • All stadium lots open at 9 a.m. and drivers are asked NOT to park on the shoulder of the roadways for pedestrian safety
  • Lot 3 is closed due to new stadium construction
  • The Bus & Limo lot is located on the north side of the stadium along Southwestern Blvd.
  • All stadium parking lots require an advanced-purchase parking pass (except Lot 2-ADA and Lot 6-ADA)

The gates to get inside the stadium will open at 11 a.m.  Any fan that is intoxicated or "unmanageable" will not be allowed to enter the stadium.

Security screening will be in place at all gates, but at gates 5 & 6, security will be different technology to get fans through the gates quicker. 

For Gates 2, 3, 4 and Gate 7:

DO NOT REMOVE:

  • Belts, coins, wallets, glasses cases, keys, watches, or jewelry

REMOVE:

  • Cameras or phones

For Gates 5 and 6:

REMOVE NOTHING: 

  • Fans can keep their keys and cell phones in their pockets and should keep their hands to their side as they walk straight through at a normal pace.

All NFL approved bags brought into the stadium are also subject to search.
