ORCHARD PARK, NY - The Buffalo Bills unveiled their new, all-red "Color Rush" uniforms via social media Thursday night. They'll be wearing the vibrant new gear when they play the New York Jets in next week's Thursday Night Football game on November 12.
These new uniforms may make you see red...but they're also seeing a lot of green because of them at the Bills store at the stadium.
"We had 300-400 orders over last night through this morning on line, and there were people lined up at the door before ten o'clock this (Friday) morning ready to come in and and pick up some color rush products," said the teams retail marketing director Jason Klein.
The color rush is the NFL's latest promotion for Thursday night football games, and will see several teams wear bold colors in the coming weeks.
At the Bills store, the special edition red jerseys can be purchased for $150, and are available with the names and numbers of RB Shady McCoy and WR Sammy Watkins.
"They are limited editions, so once these jerseys are gone, they're not coming back," Klein said.
Noting that the Jets will be wearing their own version of a color rush uniform, which is entirely green, Klein added, "It'll be sort of a Christmassy flavor out there next Thursday night."
