ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — The Buffalo Bills announced Friday they have signed three free agents to one year contracts, including WR Chase Claypool.
In addition to Claypool, the Bills signed LB Deion Jones and DE Dawuane Smoot.
Claypool, who was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft, played two and a half seasons in Pittsburgh before being traded to Chicago in 2022. Claypool played half of last season with Chicago before being traded to the Miami Dolphins for a late-round pick swap. He played nine games with the Dolphins, and finished the 2023 season with 77 yards and one touchdown catch.
Claypool has a total of 175 catches for 2,261 yards and 13 touchdowns in his four year career.
Defensive End Dawuane Smoot played seven seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars before signing with the Bills. He has played in 99 games, 23.5 sacks, 133 total tackles, and 64 quarterback hits, according to the BIlls' website.
Linebacker Deion Jones has played in the NFL for the past nine years, playing most recently for the Carolina Panthers. He has a career 731 tackles, 12 sacks and 13 interceptions.
