ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — The Buffalo Bills announced on Wednesday the team has signed former punter Matt Haack to the practice squad.
The signing comes after Sam Martin sustained a hamstring injury in Buffalo's 31-17 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday.
Haack played with the Bills back in 2021. From there, he spent time with the Miami Dolphins and Indianapolis Colts.
He most recently played for the Cleveland Browns during their Week 17 win over the New York Jets where he had three punts for 155 yards, averaging almost 52 yards per punt.
In a press conference on Wednesday, head coach Sean McDermott was asked what went into the decision about bringing back the former Bills player.
"Well Sam (Martin) situation, we're not really sure where that is going to end up," McDermott said. "It gives us some flexibility there. ... We will just see where that goes as well."
The Bills held a walkthrough practice Wednesday as they prepare for their next playoff game against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.
