ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — The Buffalo Bills have announced on Twitter that the team is releasing wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling (MVS). NFL Insider Ian Rapoport first broke the news, saying the move is to make room for Amari Cooper on the roster.
The Bills signed the 2 time Superbowl winner back in May to a one-year deal worth up to $4.5 million.
MVS hasn't been utilized much by the Bills offense this year. In the past 6 weeks, he recorded 2 catches for 26 yards according to NFL.com.
The Buffalo Bills announced Tuesday they made a trade agreement with the Cleveland Browns for WR Amari Cooper.
In exchange, the Bills will send a 3rd-round pick in 2025 and a 7th-round pick in 2026 to the Browns in exchange for Cooper and a 6th-round pick in 2025.
According to the Bills website, "Cooper, the No. 4 overall pick in the 2015 Draft, has over 9,700 receiving yards and 62 touchdowns in his NFL career. The former Alabama product has recorded six seasons of 1,000-plus receiving yards, including each of the last two full seasons (2022, 2023) in Cleveland."
