ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — While quarterback Josh Allen looks on track to play at New England, Buffalo will be without one of its top defensive linemen for Sunday's game.
The Bills ruled defensive tackle Ed Oliver (toe) out for the game against the Patriots, along with tight end Quintin Morris (ankle), who made the game-winning touchdown catch in the Bills' 14-9 win over the Giants this past Sunday night.
Defensive back Cam Lewis is the only other Bill carrying an injury designation for Sunday. Lewis is listed as questionable with a shoulder injury that made him limited for Wednesday's walkthrough and Thursday's practice, but Lewis was a full participant Friday.
Buffalo will also be without running back Damien Harris, with the team placing Harris on injured reserve Friday. Harris suffered an injury the neck/head area in the game against the Giants, and left the field in an ambulance. Head coach Sean McDermott said Monday that Harris was out of the hospital and in good spirits.
In response, the Bills promoted running back Ty Johnson from the practice squad to the 53-man roster. Johnson had been on the practice squad the previous six weeks after spending the past three seasons with the New York Jets.
As for Allen, the Bills quarterback is dealing with a right shoulder injury suffered against the Giants. He was listed as limited for Wednesday's walkthrough, but has been a full participant Thursday and Friday in practice. Allen said earlier in the week that he'll "be ready to go" for Sunday's game in Foxborough.
Cornerback Kaiir Elam was limited Wednesday-Friday with an ankle injury, but does not carry an injury designation heading into this weekend.
Rookie tight end Dalton Kincaid appears in line to return to the Bills lineup after missing the win over the Giants. McDermott announced Wednesday that Kincaid had cleared concussion protocol, and Kincaid was a full participant this week in practice.
