ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — While the Buffalo Bills are in the middle of a jumbled playoff picture, there's one team in the AFC that could punch its postseason ticket.
That would be the Baltimore Ravens who, at 10-3, are one game ahead of everyone else in the conference. The Ravens can clinch a playoff berth through a number of scenarios, and four of them involve Bills losses or ties.
The easiest path for Baltimore involves a win at Jacksonville on Sunday night — an 8:20 p.m. game that will be on Channel 2 — plus losses or ties by the Bills and Denver Broncos.
Here's how the Ravens can be the first team to clinch an AFC postseason berth this season:
- BAL win + DEN loss or tie + BUF loss or tie OR
- BAL win + DEN loss or tie + CLE loss or tie OR
- BAL win + DEN loss or tie + PIT loss or tie OR
- BAL win + DEN loss or tie + HOU loss or tie OR
- BAL win + BUF loss or tie + CLE loss or tie OR
- BAL win + BUF loss or tie + PIT loss or tie OR
- BAL win + BUF loss or tie + HOU loss or tie OR
- BAL win + CLE loss or tie + PIT-IND tie OR
- BAL win + HOU loss or tie + PIT-IND tie
There are actually more ways the Ravens can clinch, but those are the most simple ways.
The Bills host the Dallas Cowboys at 4:25 p.m. Sunday at Highmark Stadium.
