College basketball roundup: UB women clinch MAC tournament berth, St. Bona drop 16th straight

BUFFALO, N.Y. — NCAA women's: Buffalo 70 Bowling Green 55

The UB women had a chance to clinch a spot in the postseason tournament on Wednesday against the Bowling Green Falcons.

They were able to do just that in a 70-55 victory in Bowling Green, Ohio.

The Bulls took the lead early in the first quarter and held onto it for the remainder of the game. 

Star forward Chellia Watson had 20 points for UB, two rebounds, and two assists, and went seven for eight on free throw attempts.

UP NEXT

The Bulls will play their final road game of the regular season on Saturday at Kent State. Tip-off against the Golden Flashes is scheduled for 1 p.m.

NCAA women's: Massachusetts 58 St. Bonaventure 45

The St. Bonaventure women's basketball team played their final road game of the season Wednesday against Massachusetts.

The Bonnies lost their 15th consecutive game to the Minutewomen 58-45.

Leading for Bona was Isabellah Middleton with 16 points.

UP NEXT

St. Bonaventure will finish their season on Saturday at home against Richmond. Tip-off versus the Spiders is scheduled for 1 p.m.
