College basketball roundup: St. Bonaventure tops Loyola at home, UB continues slump

BUFFALO, N.Y. — NCAA Men's: St. Bonaventure 79 Loyola 64

With the season coming down to the wire, the Bonnies are fighting for every last possible point.

They put up a fight against third-place Loyola Tuesday night, defeating the Ramblers 79-64.

St. Bonaventure took the lead around the halfway point in the first, and wouldn't give it up for the remainder of the game.

 Daryl Banks III scored 26 points off of the bench to lead the Bonnies to their 18th win on the year, and ninth win in the conference. He made all 12 of his free throw attempts, along with going four for eight on three-point attempts. 

UP NEXT

Saint Bonaventure's next game is Wednesday against George Washington on the road. Tip-off against the Revolutionaries is scheduled for 7 p.m. 

NCAA Men's: Kent State 76 Buffalo 64

The Bulls played their final road game of the season at Kent State on Tuesday.

They were unable to pull off the win, losing to the Golden Flashes 76-64.

Isaiah Adams finished with 19 points and led for Buffalo.  Jonnivius Smith added 10 points and 10 rebounds as well.

UP NEXT

The Bulls will begin their final homestand of the season hosting Toledo first on Saturday. Tip-off against the Rockets is scheduled for 2 p.m.
