College Basketball Roundup: NU pulls ahead of Sienna to advance in the MAAC

BUFFALO, N.Y. — NCAA Men's: Canisius 77 Mount St. Mary's 61

The Canisius Golden Griffins opened up their MAC tournament run with a game against the Mount St. Mary Mountaineers on Tuesday. 

The Golden Griffins jumped right out of the gates early, setting themselves up for a dominant 77-61 win over the Mountaineers in the opening round of the tournament.

Tre Dinkins had 24 points, going 10 for 21 from the field goal line, three rebounds, and four assists.

UP NEXT: Canisius will face the top-seeded Quinnipiac Bobcats on Wednesday evening.

NCAA Men's: Niagara 67 Siena 65

Niagara University pulled ahead of Sienna to advance to the MAAC Quarterfinals. 

Four Purple Eagles players recorded double figures with Dre Bullock leading the way with 17 points, and Harlan Obioha finishing with 15 points.

UP NEXT: Niagara will take on No. 3 Marist at 6:30p.m. on Thursday, March 14.
