BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Los Angeles Clippers will pay homage to their Buffalo roots next season on the court.
The team announced Friday that it will wear Buffalo Braves throwbacks. The organization played in Buffalo from 1970-78, then in San Diego from 1978-84 before the move to Los Angeles.
The Braves, along with the Portland Trail Blazers and Cleveland Cavaliers, joined the NBA as expansion teams in the 1970-71 season.
In fact, the Clippers are making the jerseys available to fans long before they're seen on the court. They're already for sale on the team website.
