Student Athletes Sign to Play in College

Numerous student athletes throughout Western New York are signing their letters of intent to play their sports in college. 

Throughout Western New York this week student athletes are signing their letters of intent to play their sports in college.Tuesday morning at City Honors Jenna Balducci signed her letter of intent to play softball at Mercyhurst College in Erie, Pennsylvania. In high school Jenna also played volleyball and basketball. Jenna will study political science at Mercyhurst.

At Williamsville North 3 student athletes signed letters of intent. Shannon Quinlan will play field hockey at Assumption University. She played field hockey and lacrosse in high school.Alyssa Helak will swim for Louisiana State Univesity. Helak was undefeated in every event this season. She's focused on a return to the Olympic trials.Joshua Surowiec will play baseball at Mercyhurst College. He was a team captain in baseball and hockey for the Spartans.At Depew Karsen Cotton signed her letter of intent to play softball at Niagara University. She's a righthander pitcher planning to major in nursing.Monday morning at Lancaster High School 6 students athlletes signed their letters of intent to continue their athletic careers in college.They are: LG Castillo - Oklahoma - Men's Baseball

Taylor Domanowski - Alabama - Women's Cheerleading

Olivia Gervan - West Point - Women's Track and Field

Alyssa Markowski - Edinboro University - Women's Lacrosse

Kara Paradowski - Canisius - Women's Softball

Collin Reformat - UB - Men's Baseball
Thursday at Sweet Home Sam Peterman will sign her letter of intent to run track at field at Duke University. Her teamamte Tirzah Peters will sign her letter of intent to play volleyball at Daemen College.
