BUFFALO, N.Y.-It was a game that lived up to the hype and then some but that almost always seems to be the case when McKinley and East get together on the hardwood.
The Macks edged the Panthers 70-69 on a free throw with two seconds remaining by senior Keyshawn Ridgeway.
Percy Bryant who led all scorers with 27 points tied the scored at 69 with a driving layup with just under twelve seconds remaining. That set the stage for Ridgeway's heroics. It also took some of the steam out of a great night for Bryant who scored career point number one thousand early in the second half.
Devin Morris led McKinley with 22. Shaquan Jones had 15 Jaylen Prophet 14 and Juwan Tolliver 10 for the Macks. For the Panthers Bryant led the way whilel Damone Brown had 20 and Jovell Littlejohn 12.
The Macks remain unbeaten in the city.
