BUFFALO, N.Y. — Two league winners were crowned Wednesday night at Canisius University.
In the first game of the night, Cardinal O'Hara defeated Nichols 59-45 in a rematch of last year's final. Nichols' win in 2023 ended a run of nine straight titles for the Lady Hawks.
O'Hara earned revenge this time, leading by 17 at the half before capturing their 10th MMHSAA championship in the last ten seasons. Kyla Hayes was named playoff MVP.
On the boys' side, Timon earned a 74-64 win over Canisius. Jacob Humphrey scored 22 points, with Jaiden Harrison scoring 18 and earning playoff MVP honors.
It marks the second straight seasons the Tigers have won the Manhattan Cup.
