BUFFALO, N.Y. — Local high school football players were recognized for their hard work.
The 2023 Dick Gallagher Football Awards banquet was held at Lake Erie Italian Club in Buffalo on Saturday night.
Over 100 awards will be handed out at the banquet.

- Coach of the Year: Salamanca coach Chad Bartoszek
- Large School of the Year: Bennett
- Small School of the Year: Health Sciences
- Scholar Athlete of the Year: Hunter Jantzi
- Player of the Year awards, MMAA:
- A Player of the Year: Terrence Pendergrass
- B Player of the Year: James McNeil
- Unsung hero, large school: E'Ryan Lawrence
- Unsung hero, small school: Nate Snow
