BUFFALO, NY - Larry Felser, who spent years at The Buffalo News as lead sports columnist, has died.
The News says Felser was 80 and passed away after a brief illness.
In an article about Felser's career, The News reflected on his 38 years there, the last 25 of which he was lead sports columnist. The article says, and fans will rememberthat Felsercovered the Buffalo Bills from their inception in 1960 to his retirement in 2001. He continued to write a weekly sports column in The News until 2012.
