BUFFALO, N.Y. — Chad Kelly enjoyed a strong season with the Toronto Argonauts in the Canadian Football League.

Kelly, the nephew of Bills Hall of Famer Jim Kelly, led the Argonauts to a franchise-best 16-2 record in the regular season, tops in the league. He completed 270 of 394 passes for 4,123 yards,  23 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions as Toronto rolled to the No. 1 seed in the postseason.

That all came to an end on Saturday, though, as the Argonauts lost to the Montreal Alouettes 38-17 in the Eastern Final, a game shy of next week's Grey Cup.

Kelly completed 21 of 36 passes for 246 yards, one touchdown, and four interceptions in Toronto's season-ending loss. He also ran eight times for 62 yards.

In last year's Grey Cup, Kelly was pressed into action and helped Toronto beat Winnipeg 24-23 to win it all.
