Bills' DaQuan Jones closer to returning for Bills this season

The Bills have opened the 21-day practice window for defensive tackle DaQuan Jones as he continues to work his way back from a pectoral injury.

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — The Bills have continued to express optimism that they could get top defensive lineman DaQuan Jones back this season, and they have now acted on it from a roster perspective.

They have opened the 21-day practice window on Jones as he comes off injured reserve. He will not play against the Chargers this week, but the Buffalo Bills now have 21 days to promote him to the active roster.

On Wednesday, Jones practiced with the team in a limited capacity for the first time since October.

He suffered a pectoral injury in the Week 5 loss to the Jaguars in London. Jones was arguably their best defensive lineman with 2.5 sacks and 10 tackles before being sidelined.

The Bills are currently ninth in the AFC among four teams with 8-6 records in the conference. Wins are critical as they continue their push for the playoffs.

Buffalo faces the Chargers (5-9) on Saturday night in Los Angeles at 8:00 pm. You can watch the game right here on WGRZ.
