BUFFALO, N.Y. — The grand opening of a new sports performance center at the University at Buffalo was held on Thursday.
UB leaders opened the new facility that will serve the school's student athletes. The 12,000-square-foot facility features a turf-training incline, nutrition area, as well as a vast cardio and free weight area.
"Investing in the creation of centers like this one is an investment in student athletes," Brittany Murchie Mulla said. "Offering support for these future leaders not only supports their physical, mental, and emotional well-being, but it is an investment toward their development of discipline and teamwork — crucial skills that are valuable both in sports and in life."
The new center is named after Brittany Murchie Mulla, who is the daughter of UB alumni and supporters Tunney and Deanna Murchie.
