ALLEGANY, N.Y. — Noel Brown scored a game-high 22 points on Sunday as the St. Bonaventure men's basketball team beat Bryant 85-70 at the Reilly Center.
Melvin Council Jr. added 18 points, Dasonte Bowen 13, and Chance Moore 12 for the Bonnies (6-0), whose next game is at 5:30 p.m. Thanksgiving Day against Utah State (5-0) in the ESPN NIT Season Tip-Off outside of Orlando, Fla.
Earl Timberlake scored 17 points to lead the Bulldogs (3-3). Conner Withers and Barry Evans both finished with 14 points, and Rafael Pinzon added 13.
The Bonnies took control of the game early, using a 10-2 run to lead 23-13 nine minutes into the game. They pushed the lead to as much as 20, at 45-25, with five minutes to play until halftime.
Bryant clawed back to make it 46-40 at the break but trailed by double digits for much of the second half.
The Bonnies shot 56.1 percent (32 of 57) from the field, including 57.1 percent (8 of 14) on 3-pointers.
