BUFFALO, N.Y. — Home wins for the Canisius and Niagara women's basketball teams highlighted Saturday's slate of local college hoops action.

NCAA Women: Canisius 73, Rider 62

Sisi Eleko led the way for the Griffs with yet another double-double, posting 21 points and 13 rebounds to lead Canisius (16-12, 11-8 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) to its fifth win in its last eight games.

The Griffs used a 21-9 third quarter to pull away from the Broncs, as four Canisius players scored in double figures.

Canisius currently sits in fourth in the conference standings with one game left in the regular season.

NCAA Women: Niagara 86, Iona 56

Angel Parker scored 24 points and Aaliyah Parker put up an 11-point, 12-rebound game, as the Parker sisters teamed up to help led the Purple Eagles to the 30-point win at home.

Niagara dominated the glass 54-33 and forced 32 Iona turnovers en route the win at the Gallagher Center.

The Purple Eagles (17-12, 14-5 MAAC) have 10 of their past 11 games and sit second in the conference standings.

Canisius and Niagara close out the regular season next Saturday with the Battle of the Bridge in Lewiston.

NCAA Women: Kent State 67, Buffalo 59

The Golden Flashes swept the regular season series against the Bulls with Saturday's eight-point win.

Freshman guard Kirsten Lewis-Williams led UB with 17 points, five rebounds and five steals. However, advantages for the Golden Flashes in rebounding (44-27) and points in the paint (32-20) were too much for the Bulls to overcome.

Buffalo (16-11, 9-7 MAC) sits fourth in the conference and closes the regular season next week with home games against Central Michigan and Ball State.

NCAA Women: Richmond 61, St. Bonaventure 46

The Bonnies dropped their 17th consecutive game, finishing conference play with a 1-17 record and closing the regular season with a 4-25 overall record.

St. Bonaventure guard Isabellah Middleton led all scorers with 20 points.

Bona will be the No. 14 seed in the upcoming A-10 tournament and will play No. 11-seed Dayton in the first round on Wednesday.

NCAA Men: Toledo 85, Buffalo 79

The Bulls fell to 2-14 with a six-point loss at home to the Rockets.

Sy Chatman scored a game-high 25 points for UB, but the Bulls couldn't overcome Toledo's ability to get to the free-throw line. The Rockets went 27 for 30 from the charity stripe, compared to UB's 11-for-11 performance at the line. All five Toledo starters scored in double figures.

UB closes out the regular season next week with home games against Ohio and Northern Illinois.
