JERSEY CITY, N.J. — The Canisius women's basketball team opened a two-game road trip Thursday at Saint Peter's with a 59-44 win against the Peacocks.
The Griffins had a tremendous start to the game, dropping 43 points in the first half and taking a 21-point lead at halftime. Despite only being able to score 16 points in the second half, Canisius held Saint Peters to 20 points to secure the road victory.
Forward Sisi Eleko led the way for the Griffs with 24 points. She finished the night with seven rebounds, making 5 of 6 free throws, and going 9 of 13 on field goals.
Up Next: Canisius will travel to Rider on Saturday to take on the Broncs. Tipoff is scheduled for 2 p.m.
