CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Canisius Golden Griffins men's basketball team traveled to Cleveland on Wednesday night to take on the Cleveland State Vikings.

Starting the game off with a 6-0 lead, the Griffins were neck and neck through the first half with the Vikings, putting up a total of 34 points after one to the Vikings 35.

Canisius was only trailing by seven halfway through the second half, but just couldn't keep pace with the Cleveland offense as the Vikings used a 15-point lead to eventually cruise by the Golden Griffins by a final score of 71-61.

Buffalo Bulls earn first win of the season at home against Roberts Wesleyan:

UB got their first win at home this season on Wednesday against Roberts Wesleyan College during the MAC-Sun Belt Challenge.

The Bulls offense seemed to click more than the Redhawks as Buffalo had four players finish the night with 14 or more points, compared to Roberts Wesleyan who had two players with 13 or more points.

Sy Chatman, 7-10 on field goals and 5-6 on free throws led the team with 19 points. He and Jonnivius Smith both racked up rebounds for the Bulls for a combined 28 out of the team total of 46.

Shawn Fulcher also assisted in the win after going perfect on all eight of his free throws and 2-2 on three-pointers.
